About

Adam Hua
West Hollywood, CA · Henderson, NV
Founder, advisor and operator — twenty years building revenue, partnerships and media companies across platforms, agencies and AI-native products.
Today I lead Otium Media, consult through Four8, and advise Aeon/Joshu.me on revenue and go-to-market. Before that, I spent two decades in leadership roles at Condé Nast, Firework, Accenture and the early social ad tech ecosystem.
My thesis is simple: every brand is a media company — most just haven't monetized like one. Attention is no longer rented from publishers. The teams that win build audience, community and content as balance-sheet assets, then monetize them the way media companies always have: subscription, sponsorship, commerce and data.
- Influenced $1B+ in media investment across agencies, advertisers, publishers and platforms.
- Generated $50M in net new media investment through strategic account and agency leadership.
- Grew revenue 34% YoY through the pandemic by launching four new growth verticals.
- Expanded a $15K pilot into a $50M partnership — roughly 90% of one agency's social ad business.
- Co-founded AEON and booked nearly $400K in ARR within the first 12 months — JPMorgan Chase, Tripadvisor, Dow Jones and Firework.
- Led an award-winning sales organization that closed 320+ opportunities annually, generating $20M in ARR.
- Conceived the Four8 Framework early in my career — the operating system behind every result on this page.
- Built multiple 0-to-1 business lines across media, SaaS, AI, ad tech and creator ecosystems.
The Four8 Framework
I conceptualized the Four8 Framework early in my career and have put it into practice in every role since — at Compass Labs, Accenture, Condé Nast, Firework, AEON and Otium Media. It is the core guideline behind my clients' results and my own.
Four functions, run continuously, until growth becomes repeatable rather than heroic.
- 01Ideate
Frame the commercial thesis, ICP and the offer worth building.
- 02Activate
Ship the pitch, the playbook and the partnership into market.
- 03Evaluate
Read pipeline, media performance and partner signal honestly.
- 04Iterate
Compound what works into a repeatable revenue motion.
Superpower
I Voltron ideas together. Connecting unrelated disciplines into business innovation and product.
My edge isn't one discipline — it's the connective tissue between them. I take signals from media, ad tech, AI, agencies, creators and commerce, and assemble them into one machine that ships product and drives revenue.
Most organizations keep these disciplines in separate rooms. Product doesn't hear what the agency buyer actually said. Revenue doesn't know what the model can do. Partnerships get treated as logo collection instead of distribution.
I sit in the middle and combine the parts: pattern-matching across twenty years of platform, publisher, agency and startup rooms until a set of unrelated pressures resolves into one obvious, buildable offer.

Turned a $15K social pilot into a $50M agency partnership by wiring platform product roadmaps to agency P&L pressure.
Built Firework's media & publishing category from zero by translating shoppable video tech into publisher yield language.
Packaged AI video capability into enterprise pipelines as AEON's co-founder — nearly $400K in booked ARR in the first 12 months across JPMorgan Chase, Tripadvisor and Dow Jones.
Framed 'every brand is a media company' into Otium Media's operating model: audience, content, sponsorship, commerce, membership.

Curiosity is my favorite hobby.
I take pizza far more seriously than any adult probably should. Being from New Jersey, I was raised on a strict diet of bagels, pasta and matzah ball soup — and I have no intention of recovering.
I spent a decade training Muay Thai until my knees started negotiating retirement. These days you'll find me getting my cardio on a dance floor instead of in a ring.
I'm happiest exploring a new country, learning about different cultures, cooking something ambitious, or diving headfirst into the latest AI rabbit hole. Curiosity is my favorite hobby.
My music taste is best described as "yes" — from '90s R&B and hip-hop to alternative rock, trance, tech house, classical and even country.
- On a never-ending quest to find the perfect slice. Yes, I judge pizza — I'm from New Jersey, it's in the contract.
- Raised on East Coast carbs: bagels, pasta and matzah ball soup. My blood type is probably marinara.
- Former HS football and volleyball player turned professional couch offensive coordinator.
- Spent a decade training Muay Thai until my knees politely suggested a career change.
- I still work on my footwork — just on dance floors instead of in the ring.
- Passport always within reach. I collect cultures, conversations and questionable attempts at the local language.
- I love cooking, mostly because eating three times a day feels like a commitment worth investing in.
- AI is my newest obsession. Curiosity is the highest-ROI investment you can make.
- My playlists have commitment issues: '90s R&B, hip-hop, alternative rock, trance, tech house, classical — and somehow country snuck in.
- Lifelong learner. If there's a faster way to learn something, I'm probably already testing it.
